We chose this cruise since it was billed as a Big Game Cruise with a Slot Tournament. We didn't book for the Itinerary as we'd been to most of these places before. We booked at a casino rate in an Oceanview cabin. Since we had a room with no balcony we decided to rent a cabana in the Retreat so we could be outside when we wanted to be in our own area. This turned out to be wonderful. Two weeks before the cruise we took and upsell to a Veranda for a very reasonable price. Three days before the cruise we received an update to our booking. We had been upgraded to a Signature Suite. Great!
Embarkation in Fort Lauderdale was easy and fast and we were in our cabin by 11:30 and started exploring the ship. My wife checked out the casino and found out about the slot tournament and other games they were doing.
We ate in the Canaletto 3 times on this trip and the food and service were excellent every time. We ate in the Pinnacle Grill 3 times and the food and service were excellent here also. We ate in the Tamarind once and it was very good. The rest of the evenings we ate in or from the Main Dining Room. We had late fixed dining. The menus were varied, the food was good, and the service top notch. Dinner usually took about 45 minutes to an hour. Getting a glass of wine at your table was no problem. I ate most breakfasts in the Lido when they opened. Everything was hot and tasty.
The cabin was spacious and had plenty of storage. The balcony was also large and had 2 chairs with ottomans and a table. The bed was comfortable as was the couch. The cabin also had 2 chairs. One for the desk and one for the make up mirror. These were quite comfortable also. The large bathroom had 2 sinks with a whirlpool bath and shower and also a shower stall.
