We chose this cruise for several reasons:

1. We have been on other Viking river cruises and knew Viking river cruises to be delightful - everything you could ask for on a river cruise: the Viking staff, service, food, accommodations and daily excursions are so well orchestrated and first class.

2. We have always wanted to attend the Passion Play in Oberammergau. This play is only performed every ten years. COVID interrupted the performance schedule in 2020. When we saw that the play was resuming in 2022, and that Viking ran an extension, we did not hesitate. Read more
