Our Viking river cruise exceeded our expectations. The service was exceptional, food plentiful and delicious, and the included shore excursions were informative and fun. We bought a pre and post extension and both were amazing. We experienced smooth transfers, superior hotels that were centrally located and had delicious buffet breakfasts, and very helpful Viking hosts.

We visited amazing Christmas markets in Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, Salzburg, Regensburg, Nuremberg and Prague. We loved each market and its food, handmade crafts, and scenic settings. A highlight for us was the WW2 history tour of Nuremberg. I would recommend adding the post extension to Nuremberg and Prague, because the price was very reasonable for what you get. Our Viking host,Andrea, was so friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. The hotels were excellent and the four included tours were great.

This cruise was booked for our 40th anniversary, and it was definitely a highlight of our married life. We enthusiastically recommend a Viking river cruise to anyone who likes to explore and learn about the culture and history of European cities/countries.
