Sail Date: Oct 2022
At the Acropolis of Lindos in Rhodes, Greece.
State room in twin bed configuration for my mother and I.
Infinity pool at the back of ship, while docked in Istanbul.

Other family members have sailed with Viking before, but this was my first ever cruise-- and I think all other cruises line now be spoiled for me, since I've experienced how amazing Viking is. The ship was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the crew was so wonderful. They were friendly and clearly well trained. The destinations was absolutely beautiful as well; we lucked out with perfect weather each day, but they would have been amazing even if it was pouring.

One thing I like about Viking is that is so destination focused-- they really want you to experience the culture and history of the places you travel to. The ship, while lovely, was not the focus of the trip for me. Traveling with Viking is like traveling on a floating luxury hotel that brings you to amazing places-- there aren't manic distractions on the ship like casinos and waterparks, the ship is meant to be a home base after exploring the destination. Families with children should know that Viking does not allow any passengers below the age of 18. I love children, but it was nice to have a vacation without that kind of energy around.

Our guides for each tour were so knowledgeable, and I learned a lot at each location. This was a trip of a lifetime, truly life changing to see these destinations on the Mediterranean.
