We had sailed with Viking on two river cruises and one ocean cruise. The company did not disappoint. It was a 21 day cruise with sites selected for cultural interest and history. For three of the most populous sites, Rome, Venice and Athens, I would recommend the excursions that involve 'behind the scenes' views, as each city is crowded with tourists, and it's impossible to see the cities sufficiently with just a general overview tour. There were two ports where we were not able to dock because of bad weather. I respected the decision . Who knew the Adriatic could have such rough seas? No wonder it took Odysseus 10 years to get home.

The service was consistently excellent, in all aspects of the tour; cabin stewards, restaurant staff, customer service (to change/edit excursion plans), and every encounter with staff. The staff is beautifully trained and also displays a genuine pleasure in doing their job.

The cabin (Deck 3)was small, but perfectly adequate, with a balcony and well appointed (heated floor) bathroom.. We only spent time in the cabin after dinner. There were lots of spaces onboard where you can find restful spots to read, relax or play games at any time of day. The overall feel of the ship was calmness, understated elegance, without any ostentation. Children under 18 are not permitted.

Cabin Review

Basic, but perfectly adequate for our needs (175sf?)
