Sail Date: Aug 2022

We had taken several river cruises with Viking and always thought they were top-notch.

We had scheduled a land plus cruise to Alaska with another company for 2020 even though we were not fans of "large ship cruising" but had no other choice at the time. Covid cancelled that trip and when we were trying to re-schedule for 2022, we found Viking's offerings and happily booked their land tour and cruise from Anchorage to Vancouver.

As hoped, the cruise was fantastic - our junior suite was beautiful and very spacious and came with a terrific cabin attendant who took care of our every wish. Our location gave quick and easy access to the Explorer Lounge as well as the forward elevators. We found the restaurants all to be wonderful with good menu choices and wines as well as very attentive service. We had dinner in all of the "premium" restaurants - and revisited two of them a second time - and found them to be exceptional. We also had the Silver Spirits package and found it to be very worthwhile, especially the wine upgrades at dinner.
