We chose this cruise because Alaska was on our Bucket List of things to do and because we enjoyed our previous Viking River Cruise. As always, Viking does an excellent job of taking care of its passengers. The Deluxe Veranda room was wonderful--both clean and comfortable. And the restaurants were excellent!! Servers, Room Stewards, Guest Speakers are all top notch.

For entertainment (as we are not big partiers), we enjoyed listening to Laurence in the Explorers Lounge after dinner each day, and also the talented young women who played the violin and cello. My husband enjoyed the talks done by the resident astronomer. My one regret is that I didn't make use of the Spa!!

We were very excited to see the excursions that were offered. The only drawback was the priority system for excursion sign ups. By the time we were able to sign up, there was no availability for the day trips we would have loved to have taken.
