Let's start with the obvious. I know we were changed a long time ago from the Emerald Princess to the Crown Princess. I was also made aware that Ketchikan was changed to Icy Strait Point. What I didn't expect was for these changes to be only the start of a pretty rough experience as a first time cruiser with Princess Cruises. I cannot begin to express how disappointed I am in Princess and the Crown ship we had. That ship is dangerous and has no business sailing in that condition. I also want to point out that I paid for an advertised trip (Inside Passage with 4 ports) and I got anything BUT that.

The room was very dated and we were disappointed to see only 1 outlet for use. In today's world, you have multiple items to charge up. Between my husband and I, we had 2 USB devices and 2 110v. We didn't think to pack any type of extension device to solve this issue. We really didn't think in 2022 that we wouldn't have enough outlets in the room. I was also shocked at the attitude of the front desk when I tried to ask them to help me solve this problem. They argued with me and told me there were 2 outlets. No. No, there were not and they too discovered this after walking me back to my room. Fortunately, I was able to borrow a multi-device charging station. That solved this issue.

We bought a bottle of wine and went to chill it in the fridge and the entire temperature knob had fallen out of the fridge. It only got better because when they came to replace the fridge, they broke the door to the cabinet where the fridge was stored. They took the missing door and couldn't find it so my cabin sat open for hours while they tried to solve this riddle. After a few hours, we had a working fridge and the cabinet door was restored. I was just shocked by the whole experience on Day 1.
