BACKGROUND:
This is a detailed review so if you’d like to skip to a section the order is embarkation, ship, food, entertainment & activities, service, fitness & spa, Bermuda, cabin, debarkation, summary. This 7 night Bermuda cruise was our 7th cruise and third on Celebrity. We sailed in an aqua class room which was a first for us, there will be more on that in service, food, and cabin. Our cruise was at about 90% capacity (~1900/2200 guests) since Celebrity is now selling ships at full capacity. Luckily Celebrity does a good job at managing crowds. Masks were not required on the cruise, it really felt like normal.
EMBARKATION:
Our aqua class cabin was located on deck 9 midship, perfect location! The buffet and pool deck were only 1 story up, sky lounge 2 stories up. We were right below the pool deck but never heard deck chairs scraping like people complain about, we did hear people running and stomping like elephants sometimes. There was a nice overhang which blocked out the sun, but if you want picture perfect pictures from your balcony deck 9 is not for you. Our stateroom attendant Cornel was AMAZING. He got us a second Celebrity tote bag after we asked for another because they were a complete upgrade compared to the 10 cent bags Celebrity used to give out. The room is nice and renovated with a good amount of storage and space. The bathroom is also roomy compared to other ships with a good sized shower. Aqua class gets nice upgraded amenities that are not all watered down like regular cabins get. We also got canapes on most days but don’t get too excited, most of the time they were absolutely stupid. Overall I would say aqua class is an upgrade that is so so so worth it, highly recommend!
Nice port area and easy to walk around. Bus stop and ferry are in the heart of the port area.
