Embarkation from Bayonne NJ:
Upon arrival to the cruise terminal everyone was friendly and helpful. Without delay, we dropped off our large luggage and parked in the adjacent garage. Once inside the terminal, masks were required, but some opted out. Mask wearing was only slightly enforced. We breezed through security, and final document checkpoint and were then directed to a seating area for about 30 minutes before we boarded the ship. Our check in time was 11:00 – 11:30 and we were on the ship by noon.
Overall experience while on board: This was our second time on the Celebrity Summit and it was a wonderful experience.
Cabin Review
Concierge Class 2
This room category is our favorite so far. The bed was the most comfortable bed on any voyage so far and the pillow menu was icing on the cake. This combination made for some of the best night sleeping as well as afternoon naps. Our concierge class room felt roomier than a regular balcony. It was refurbished and most of the room was touched. The bathroom was nicely renovated also allowing for more room in the shower. There also was plenty of closet and drawer space for 2 people.
Port Reviews
Bayonne (Cape Liberty)
We chose this port because of its proximity to our home. No flights are needed and that is great. Thank you to all of the port staff that make the process look easy.
