My parents booked this cruise for our family. Getting on the boat and checking in went fairly smoothly. We walked around the deck with the pool on floor 9 just checking everything out and we were very disappointed in how small the pool was. We were hoping that what we could do in our free time but it was just so small and filled with children or drunk adults when it was open. They had lots of stuff during the day to do. They’ll make announcements in the mornings and throughout the day. But nothing was really appealing to a 19 year old. Once you get sunburnt you just really don’t want to even go out on the deck because of how hot it is and crowded. The blue iguana has some good burritos, the pizza place always has burnt pizza, the sunrise restaurant was decent definitely not a lot of different options. The waiters and waitresses are very kind and love to put on a show for everyone at dinner. Our Stewart was very kind and came as soon as we called, he always made sure we didn’t need anything else and always had a smile on his face and called us by our name everytime he saw us. The cabin we stayed in was very close to the elevator luckily so we didn’t have to do much walking. But the cabin is very small when you have 4 people staying in it with all the luggage BUT there is storage for the luggage in the closets and under the main bed. The bathroom is small but it’s a bathroom, you have enough room to move around. But not really enough room for the dirty towels. Luckily they come everyday to switch them out and clean the room. They also don’t have conditioner but they do have shampoo so bring your own. They do have a clothing line in the shower to hang your wet bathing suit with is handy. Our balcony had bird poop on it the first day but they came the second day and cleaned it. The glass on the balcony was stained from wear and tear I guess. Our balcony door creaks very much it’s impossible to do it quietly. The walls are also very thin you can hear absolutely every slam and every person being incredibly loud in the hallways. They don’t have quiet hours I guess. I don’t think they have a cut off hour for drinks & people have no consideration when it’s 3 am and they’re running down the halls screaming at each other. Also when the ship is on the move the bathroom door opens and closes making a bang if you don’t close it all the way. Nothing else really makes noise other than the walls creaking and that. The ladder up to the bunk bed is not very sturdy make sure it’s fully hooked before you head up because I have almost fallen and few times. There’s not many outlets in the room there’s 2 by the closets and one in the bathroom. And finally the finale, every since we got on this cruise there has been a draft of weed that has been stinking up our room. It really shocked me that they just continue to do it and not get in trouble or get it confiscated. I read other reviews and they said that they also smelled weed throughout the hallways and even in the smoking area. Which is strange to me because when boarding there was very many signs that said carnival was a drug free place but I guess it isn’t. They had no issue smuggling it on and doing it every single day but I think carnival should. Overall a decent cruise.
