Traveled with children

We were on with extended family, including three teenagers. There was plenty to do on board but it felt very crowded. This was our second post-pandemic cruise. The first one was only about 35% capacity. This one felt completely full. The lines were long for the Flow Rider and it was hard to get show reservations. Windjammer was pretty crowded too. But overall we had a good time and the kids had a blast since there were so many kids on board (which also made it seem more crowded and noisy). The ship is in great shape. There were a lot of activities. Casino was very active although we could not find video poker. Entertainment was hit or miss: the main show Once Upon a Time was a solid production show. Two comedians: Mike Pace was excellent; Louis Johnson was not funny at all. There was a magician/comedian Levant who did a fun show that the kids especially liked. The cruise director Chris was not very visible during the cruise and told lame dad jokes during the intros. The ship band was excellent. There was a young guy playing guitar in one of the bars who looked 18. He seemed a bit overwhelmed. The piano player in Schooner's who also sung played the usual songs but "faked" the chords and could not play any requests. The instrumental piano player was good for background music. The entertainment staff was fun with trivia, etc. Karoake was lively -- it seemed like the boat was full of professional singers. The ice skating show was very well done. Food is so subjective. I found it good on the whole, albeit uninspired. Desserts were well done. The vegan menu was appreciated and the veggie burgers were pretty good. Healthy food options were a bit limited. The pizza was surprisingly good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Things were well run and getting on and off the ship was well organized. COVID protocols were taken seriously and we felt safe. Overall we were happy with the cruise but wish the capacity was not so high to keep it from being so crowded.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Balcony cabin was spacious and quiet.

Port Reviews

Nassau

The good news: most of the shops (included the straw market) have reopened. The bad news: the pushy taxi drivers and people selling things on the street are back. Next time I am not going to bother getting off the ship at Nassau.
