After breakfast in the dining room the food was unacceptable. The buffet was exactly the same choices every day. They virtually had no pastry chef. Maybe three desserts at the buffet any given day. Even the pizza which on MSC was supposed to be great was awful. The ice cream at the pool was great we had it for lunch every day, it was ore like gelato. Staff very nice except you had to wait on line every day to talk to someone. guest Services staff were not very well informed, they all basically said they were new. No shade at the outdoor pool. All lounges were in the sun. If you wanted shade you had to sit at a table near the windows. Chairs were hard wicker and very uncomfortable. For cocktail lounges they were all really small on the promenade.
Don't go to Cirque, definitely not worth the money. We had two acts a juggler and two ladies that swung on ropes upside down. In the beginning they had a singer that sang in a language that we did not understand, something from the islands we think, just a time killer.
They had one galley that services four dining rooms. All food was cold and we usually sent it back. They don't care how many entrees you order. I think they are used to having the food sent back. We ate in Olives main dining room. Down the entire room they had the waiter staff, so you could see during your entire meal all the dishes and waiters moving around. Not a fine dining experience and very loud, Some of the waiters were not very experienced in English. Had to ask for everything, including water and ice tea, they didn't come around asking if you wanted any.
Very small. My husband and I could not pass at the same time in front of the bed. No bar of soap. No tissues we had to use toilet tissue, which we had to ask for a few times.
