My husband and I chose a back-to-back on Navigator of the Seas for one reason only... to be able to visit and enjoy their private island, Coco Cay twice. The first cruise was 3 days and the second cruise was 4 days. When you fly from Canada it just makes better sense to do at least 7 days because of the cost of the flight. We stayed in the same virtual balcony cabin and we were able to just get off and on the ship between cruises for 10 minutes without our luggage and just to clear customs, which was a breeze.

The food was good and lots of choices in both the MDR and Windjammer. We did not bother with specialty restaurants after deciding that Hooked was not worth the charge after considering rate of exchange for Canadians.

Their island was really beautiful and had plenty of loungers for everyone. The only negative thing was that this time of year, the water in the beautiful Lagoon pool was very cold as were the beaches. We just rested by the pool and then went to enjoy a delicious lunch with plenty of choices.

RCCL provides complimentary trams from the pier to the island and then you change trams to continue on to different stops along the island. Wonderful feature for those of us who have mobility issues.

What made this trip so wonderful was because of the staff and crew. Everyone was friendly, helpful and always pleasant. The live orchestra and shows were great but their tribute band "One4One" was so talented. They had everyone dancing in the Promenade with their "Queen", "Eagles" and "Beatles" tribute evenings. Wow! Such talent!

I have just a few suggestions for Royal Caribbean that would make cruises more enjoyable: All ships should have at least a one day "smoke free" in the casino; and Diamond members should be offered a discount on frozen mocktails and cocktails as well as a discount for food at Johnny Rockets.

Cabin Review

Interior with Virtual Balcony

Small but manageable. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean thanks to excellent cabin steward, Martin. Virtual balcony really great. Liked seeing everything outside but nobody able to see inside. Nice waking up to sunshine each day. Plenty of cupboard space and shelving and drawers.
