Was keen to go to Cuba and they were the only company who went there at the time I wanted to go.
A number of very good staff but the rest of them were lazy and average. The girls at the front Customer Service desk were swamped with complaints and were fabulous. Hard for them to make excuses for the hundreds of complaints people had.
Met some great people in the first week, and some more great people in the second week - all who had the same stories of their cruising.
I have travelled the world and never written a negative review, on anything. To me, travel is about the experience, and the cultures. Please see the photos of my cabin on arrival. It was filthy. I addressed the issues with the customer service staff (who were wonderful) but had to wait three days to do that because the queues of passengers complaining were hours long. The restaurant food was excellent. The buffet was awful. The couple of times we did eat there, the tables were over crowded and never cleared off. You were sitting on the end of a table trying to eat with everyone elses leftovers on the able in front of you. Staff standing around doing not much....... The ship was so overcrowded, it took about an hour, standing in hot hallways to disembark. I have cruised before and have found the experience to be wonderful. Too many other options to ever use MSC again. I have never experienced a holiday like this. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere.
Beautiful. Got a driver and went out to Paradise Beach Hotel at West Bay. Fabulous bar and swimming on an amazingly beautiful beach.
Walked along from the port to the ferry terminal (about 10 minutes) and got a ferry over to Playa Del Carmen. Beautiful spot. Lots of shops, restaurants, great places to wander around. About an hour on the ferry - really comfy and airconditioned - and about $20USD
IN the afternoon took a snorkelling trip from the Cozamel pier. Very cheap, great small group of people and the reef along the coast near the main street was fabulous. Well worth the $40 USD
Walked into the town of Mahahaul - about 30 minutes walk Wandered along the market stalls on the main street, then found a hammock, on the beach, with a massage close by and spent the day in the water. It was beautiful. Great seafood and perfect cocktails.
Not a port of choice, swapped instead of Havana Cuba. Very commercial. Had a good day there, wandering around, very pretty spot, some great spots to eat and shop. Do the trolley ride around - great way to have good look.
Wandered along the shop, got a driver and went to one of the beaches for the day. Should have gone to the falls! Nice spot, but we saw much better on the trip.
Took a transfer bus to the local beach. Magic. Never seen water like it. Paid for a banana lounge and umbrella (it was very hot) and walked along the beach and got some lovely lunch and drinks. Great spot.
