Caribbean Princess is a lovely and clean ship. Embarkation went quickly and smoothly with the new medallions. We enjoyed the shore excursions, a private beach in Roatan and Mayan Ruins in Belize City. The staff was pleasant. Our room steward and waiters in the dining room were very friendly and did a nice job. Our 2 children loved the kids club and the nightly shows in the princess theatre. However they were disappointed they could not swim because the pools were overrun with people, mostly adults drinking (even in the "family" pool). People would "claim" all the pool lounge chairs by 9:00AM by putting towels on them leaving them for hours at a time preventing others from using them. I never once saw staff removing towels from these chairs even though the policy said they would after 20 minutes of non-use.

Our biggest problem was the noise in our cabin at night. Our cabin was located directly above a night club where a band played until midnight. It was so loud, we could have been inside the club! I take responsibility for not studying the ship plans better before selecting this cabin. However choices are limited for a cabin that sleeps 4. So if you are booking and have children that need sleep use caution! The biggest problem was the people in the cabin next to us. Every night they had parties n their room until 3:00AM. I have cruised before and never heard neighbors so I know rooms are sound proofed. These people were so loud, screaming, slamming doors, blasting music and even trying to open the locked adjoining door into our room. We complained to guest services on the second night when we realized it wasn't a one time thing. Their response was an apology and a security guard that came by 30 minutes later (of course, after the party had ended so they didn't believe us), and a bouquet of flowers that aggravated my allergies for the rest of the week!
