  3. Celebrity Infinity
This was our first time on celebrity (we previously sailed on Royal Caribbean, Princess and Holland). Celebrity is definitely our least favorite. It's not terrible, just underwhelming. The Infinity is an old ship and definitely has a lot of wear and tear. Pros: -The entertainment for the most part was very good. The Celebrity Singers and Dancers show was dated and nonsensical but we liked everything else. They bring in a lot of acts from outside that are outstanding (there was a group from Britain's Got Talent that was particularly great). The musicians playing throughout the ship during the day were also very good. -The food in the buffet was great. They always had something different and a lot of the food was based on the stop we were in (i.e. Greek food when we were in Greece). We also did the specialty dining in QSine one night for the Le Petit Chef experience (they project a show onto your table and plate). That was very cool and unlike anything I've ever seen. -The Celebrity Shore Excursions were all very good. I liked the tour guides and they gave a lot of good info. We took one in all of our ports except for Dubrovnik. Cons: -We felt like Celebrity was constantly trying to get us to spend money. We were asked to buy drinks or drink packages constantly that we had no interest in. It felt like they were pressuring the staff to sell more packages. We were constantly being handed tickets or fliers for jewelry sales (something we also have no interest in). It started to get really annoying. -We really didn't enjoy the experience in the dinning room. As a table of 2, we were sat mere inches from another table of 2 so it felt awkward. The service was also too slow for our liking but space was the main issue. We stopped eating there because we had no space. -Our balcony door (Room 6094) was broken. This is a serious safety issue. We were locked out on our balcony and had to call down to a guest on the deck below for help. After that, we had to keep the door partially open whenever we used the balcony. This is unacceptable. We did let them know at guest relations but I don't know that there was anything they could do. -Basic necessities were not sold on the ship. The biggest issue was that they did not sell sunscreen. For a warm Mediterranean cruise, this is a huge problem. We used up the one we packed on our sea day and couldn't buy more until we got to Greece. They also don't sell pads (sanitary napkins) or advil in the main store. -There were not a lot of free activities to do on the boat. This made our sea day really boring. A lot of these would be easy fixes (a wider selection of board games and books in the library). Other cruise lines have had activities like stargazing, jewelry making, cookie decorating, cooking demonstrations, etc. that made sea days a fun experience. A lot of the free activities (like a dance class) were out on the pool deck which was too hot and crowded (while lounges and spaces like the theater remained mostly empty). The ports we went to were really nice so we enjoyed the experience but we probably wouldn't sail celebrity again.

Boring ship in need of repairs but fun ports!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B
Cabin 2B 6094
The cabin was nice and in a good location (mid ship, very quiet). The balcony door was broken though and would lock you out if you closed it all the way.
