As regular cruisers we decided to go on a totally different trip and booked the 7 night Alaskan cruise in June 2019.
Ok we were unfortunate with the weather but that was the least of our problems.
We had pre-booked the ships excursions having spent ages reviewing them all and whilst they were in our opinion expensive didn’t think the cruise line would let us down. How wrong we were. In short the trips were way over priced and seriously under delivered.
Everyone we spoke to about value for money of the excursions felt the same way. When we spoke to the staff on board about this their attitude couldn’t have been worse. Trips advertising wildlife - what wildlife we saw whales on one out of the three trips, bald headed eagles that didn’t move so not sure if they were real. On one trip it said a forest walk hmm I think trades descriptions need to get involved here the walk took all of 5 minutes with stopping.
I fell over on the ship and fractured my pelvis, the medical staff were superb, but the accident need not have happened if the cruise line put down matting on the decks.
The ship is in desperate need of refurbishment and is not going in to dry dock until 2021! The taps in our bathroom leaked for 4 days despite reporting it on day 1.
All in all ship poor trips way overpriced and under delivered scenery great and medical staff amazing.
Tired and in desperate need of repairs and redecorating
