We chose this cruise for 2 reasons.

Firstly, the ports (apart from Dublin) were all new destinations for us.

Secondly, we had cruised on the silhouette before and new that it was a very good experience.

Port Reviews

Cobh (Cork)

All the attractions were literally at the quayside( including the railway station for those who wanted to travel to Cork) We had a stroll around and visited the Titanic experience which was excellent (and accessible by wheelchair)

Dublin

Because Dublin is a commercial port, Celebrity supplied a shuttle bus (which was accessible) but at an eyewatering cost of € 13 each! which dropped people off way outside the centre of Dublin.

We have been to Dublin many times before so for a change we walked around the corner from the drop-off point to Pearce Station and jumped on the DART train to Bray.

What a beautiful place and the scenery from the train was superb. The cost of a 45 minute journey, there and back was only € 6.50 each and the train was fully wheelchair accessible with staff on hand at all stations to assist.

Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

As this was a tender port, I left my wife on board and just had a wander around the town.

Very nice, clean place,
