Nice vacation with my parents and sister. Our parents are in their 60's and we are in our 20's. We live in philadelphia, so we love departing from bayonne only 1 1/2 hour drive. Easy embarkation, they only had 2 security lines open during peak boarding time at noon. We did have to wait in about a 15-20 minutes line. I guess they only use all the security stations for larger ships. Ship was just refurbished and looked really nice! This was our 3rd time on this ship and the renovations were really nice and modern! Cabins doors are not sound proof. You can hear doors slamming outside, guests and stewards talking. So many morning announcements, they had a crew drill at 9:30a.m. I like to sleep in when i'm on vacation, total disgrace being woken up everyday at 8 or 9 by announcements. On other cruises you could turn these announcements off in your cabin, there was a knob we turned off but didn't stop us from hearing the announcements. Captain would talk everyday at 9:30 then cruise director would come on and read the entire cruise planner. I put a pillow under my door but didn't help. On the tender days every 5 minutes starting at 8a.m. You hear a woman come on announcing the next tender ticket number, it should just be announced in public areas not cabin hallways!! Always working on leaking pipes inside the hallway doors starting early. Very hard to sleep in and we would have deep sleep signs on our doors and stewards would just hold conversations right outside. Public areas were clean and crew was fantastic, helpful and so friendly! The pools drains are really loud and became annoying to hear while you were swimming, sounded like loud traffic. They have 2 outdoor pools, however were cold. Only swam when we were in bermuda. The solarium pool is hot and has jets and an area to lay on, relaxing. Broadway shows were only okay and they don't have enough entertainment for a 11 night cruise, felt like we just had the entertainment they use for a 7 night. Kept having silent disco parties had 3 total and that was the only party or activity to do besides the shows. Guests were mainly 65+ and i think silent disco is for younger people and it was a disgrace that's all that was offered on those nights. They said there would be a abba night, never happened. They had one motown theme night, no other theme nights. Most of the shows were just one singer. I'm not saying they weren't good singers, just we find those shows boring and we ended up leaving. They had 2 comedians that were funny and the late night comedy show was okay, the audience was older and i think the comedian was uncomfortable being too dirty. They had a comedy magician that was awful, it's like a kid show. I don't know anyone over the age of 8 who would enjoy this show. Stupid jokes and skits with stuffed animals, waste of time. They had a motown trio and they were good, however compared to the other shows they were the best of the cruise. They don't use their singers and dancers enough. Most of the time they were just eating in the buffet. They should have had a 3rd show. No welcome aboard or farewell show. The 2 house band female lead singers were horrible and i didn't mind they didn't play enough, i like the radio or dj more. The line dancing they had were fun. So many crew members eat in the guest's buffet. It used to just be a few officers on other cruises, now singers, dancers, kids crew, casino staff, spa, gym crew would all be in the buffet. Sometimes you would have to wait in line behind them while getting omelets, pastas. They should be eating in the crew area. More employees than guests were in the buffet at times. Dining room waiter and assistant waiter were fabulous. Food selection was usually poor, however the food i did like was good. Buffet selection was good and food was good too. I loved scoops plenty of ice cream and sorbet. Only they didn't have chocolate custard everyday. Spa cafe was good, loved the chicken salad and was a good location right near solarium pool. Great weather in the ports. One sea day it rained. When we were in rhode island and maine it was too cold to go outside on deck. We like sitting out on deck, so we decided to just take caribbean cruises moving forward. We loved being on deck when we were in bermuda. We did have a nice time and would sail on celebrity again. Just cabin doors need to be sound proof and you should only hear emergency announcements, crew drill used to be later in the day. More activities and theme parties need to added.

Nice cruise to kick off summer!

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom 12
Cabin 12
Our interior cabins were beautiful and so modern. It didn't look like a cruise cabin, it looked like a new hotel room. Shower was a great size and no more shower curtain, nice glass door. Beds were too small. BIGGEST ISSUE IS CABIN DOORS ARE NOT SOUND PROOF!!
Deck 2 Inside Cabins, Outside Cabins
