My DH and I just returned on Sunday. We are in our 50's and this was our 20th cruise in 15 years and our 4th cruise with NCL. We thought we preferred NCL and now we are not sure. We started this cruise very burnt out from work and more tired than usual, maybe that is contributing to our disappointments, hard to say. Did we not notice these things before or did they not bother us before? Who knows.

Embarkation - very smooth. Arrived at 10:30am and were on board at 11:30.

Cabin - Balcony 9784. this where where we really saw the age of the ship. The linens were dingy and not bright while, the carpet was stained and tattered looking. The bath linens were fine but every beach towel we encountered during the week, and we had 2 new ones every day, were stained. Very disappointing. The bed was exceptionally hard. The tv remote only worked from one side of the bed due to the layout. It was functional, plenty of storage but disappointing. We are the rare cruisers who spend quite a bit of time in our cabin than out so these things are important to us. Read more
