We chose this ship for the exceptionally itinerary which was great ! This was 2nd cruise on the EPIC out of 67 other cruises. After boarding I remember why 4 years ago I swore I would not sail on it again; even on that cruise were were treated great. We are both Platinum Plus members which has it's advantages about wait list but even then the crowds were overwhelming. Let me say this first great food, great shows, great staff. Got lots of exercise because the lack of adequate number of elevators. Most people only took elevators up, they/we would even walk down 10 decks rather than wait for ever Get off the ship slow slow slow. This gave me a concern that if there were an emergency it would be a disaster and jumping over the side would be preferential to be trampled.

Let be explain my feelings on the Mega Ships. Take a small ship add and extra four or five decks of cabins and you still have the same amount of deck and common area space, more service staff but the same number Executive Officers who have to many guest to deal with. Total lost of the personal touch we came to enjoy. The smaller ships have a lot of heart.
