We are seasoned cruisers, and this Trans-Atlantic cruise was our 20th, but first time on NCL. Below are a few things that we found troubling. It wasn't all bad and I will note the positives as well. My wife and I are both retired and this is just our opinion regarding our experience. I am sure others will have differing opinions.
1. This was a massive ship (4,100 passengers). If you don't like crowds, you might want to consider something smaller. Seating at the buffet (any meal) was challenging. It appeared that the main atrium had been removed to accommodate more state rooms. There was zero elegance and the central elevators do not exist .... only forward and aft. This means lots of walking just to get to an elevator.
Based on the location of our stateroom, we had to trudge through the smoke filled casino several times each day. Major TURN-OFF.
