My husband and I are long time cruisers. We have cruised over twenty times and mostly prefer Royal or Celebrity. We are early 50's from New York. We decided to try Princess and sail on the Ruby Princess out of Seattle Inside Passage to Alaska. We flew into Seattle two days before and stayed at the La Quinta Downtown...Great hotel for the price. We did a walking tour in Seattle ,Segway tour and took the Bainbridge Island Ferry. Had fun and ran in the Sculpture Garden and Centennial Park.

We booked cabin R751, a Premium Balcony..Aft and corner Balcony. The view and wrap around balcony was great. There were two reclining chairs. My husband went and got a small table from the nearby Terrace Pool deck. I much prefer the Balcony cabins on Royal and Celebrity for the couch instead of the chair . The shower in the Princess cabin in crazy small. I am a small woman, and I could barely shower in there without getting water all over the cabin.

I booked with the Sip and Sail all inclusive package. Upon embarkation, I was told I would need a sticker on my card that wasn't there. First line and first impression of the cruise...I was told to go to Guest Services onboard and wait on the very long line..only to find out that the information was wrong and I didn't need a sticker. This was the first in many lines and many mis information from the cruise. My biggest complaint was there was always a line for everything. I had to keep going to Guest Services to get the drink charges removed from my bill that should have been included in my package. The International Cafe, which actually had pretty great coffee, always had at least seven people ahead of me for a coffee everytime . I avoid Buffets on most cruises, but since it was pretty cold on deck, had to go to the buffet sometimes at lunchtime, since the Trident Grill ( pizza and Grill) were outside. This is an Alaska cruise,..why isn't a ship with a retractable roof or covered area used for this itinerary????

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin B4

Beautiful wrap balcony but smaller that cabins on other lines. Shower in the bathroom is TINY..and I am a pretty small person. Location near Terrace pool and bar is great, but its a long walk to a lot of things.
