Sail Date: Jan 2018

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary that took us to Trinidad without sailing to Ft. Lauderdale like so many do to extend time. We always book Prem Balcony and love the space and roof over part if there are showers. The Salty Dog Grill has stepped up their grilled chicken sandwich with a much better bread on Deck 15. My husband and I did not use the BBQ and Planks Restuarant at night because we found a fabulous waiter in the Island Dining room. We ate at 7pm but were anytime dining and we were pleased we weren't trying to make it to early dining and early show. This ship had over 900 cabins of Elite cruisers so the passengers were not newbies for the most part. This was our 12th cruise and we did have two needs to call maintenance and both times were met with speed. Once was the safe needed to be reset and the other was the toilet would not operate. Our room steward was nice. The stewards had extra work to tend to because the entire ship had new tv's installed and it meant extra cleaning in rooms and halls. Then one day of rough seas, meant inside rooms had quite a few sick passengers. We like the new healthier menu in the Fresh Market restaurant. We used Sabatini's once and it was wonderful. The only thing that was not as good as previous was the laundry room on Caribe Deck didn't dry super good so we hung up our slightly damp clothes in room and put away the next morning. The new beds are fabulous! Draperies were in great condition and Princess always delivers great service. We meet several staff we appreciate during each cruise. My husband ordered pheasant one night, and just didn't see the lobster on the menu, well our waiter over heard him and brought us a tail to share on top of our meals. I don't kn ow how people say the food is lacking, because it was wonderful and too much as always. We did not take any excursions. We love walking around each port and did so. Disembarking is so fast now without using the paper customs form that we use to need and no longer need.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

This cabin is in front of ship but it has the same square footage as the Premium Balconies. We chose it because at the time of selecting a cabin, it was cheaper than the Mid Front but it is the same size. Somewhat near laundry which is nice as we always use it. Steward always kept our ice bucket full and room clean! If you want bar soap in shower rather than the bodywash, just ask steward for it!
