We chose this cruise for the 14 day itinerary without having to return to Ft Lauderdale as in a B2B. We are Elite cruisers in our 60s. It also had two new ports that we had not visited: Martinique and Trinidad. Was somewhat hesitant due to the age of the ship but really miss the true promenade that is not on the bigger ships.

Embarkation was simple and quick. The ship was in good shape despite her age. Clean and slightly smaller than what we have become accustomed. MDR service was slow. Our waiter had 20 people to serve. All wine drinkers with multiple bottles for each table It took all his time to keep their glasses full. Food was hot and tasty. Typical predictable Princess fare. The buffet was busy at breakfast but never had a problem finding a place to sit. Did not try Planks except for lunch one day. Found a grilled cheese sandwich! My DH said the burgers on deck were not as good and smaller than on past cruises. But they had more selection such as tacos. He was able to purchase a soda only package for around $4.50 pd. He is not interested in the "more" in the $8 package. One thing we noticed after a day or two, you have to ask for straws.

We had an inside cabin A620. It has a huge intermittent vibration issue that shook the walls. It must have been a motor in the HVac system, We called three times, they came to listen and finally moved us to a new cabin on day 3. The front desk supervisor gave us a complimentary dinner in the Crown grill for our troubles.
