My husband and I were looking for a holiday cruise, and this looked interesting because not only was it was a new cruise line for us, it was also a new ship, and the cost was surprisingly reasonable for what it offered. This cruise included the airfare, free WiFi, one included tour in each port, wine and beer with lunch and dinner, 2 specialty restaurants, and the type of cabin we prefer. We also liked that we could go in and change our assigned airline seats if we wished, which we did.
Our flight left Detroit at 6:30 am on Christmas Eve, so we arrived in Miami in mid morning, and had a fairly long wait before we were transferred to the ship. But the embarkation went smoothly, and our cabin was ready shortly after we arrived, which was one of the bonus' of choosing a Penthouse Jr. Suite. That allowed us to stash our carry-ons and gave us plenty of time to have lunch and explore the ship before our luggage arrived to unpack.
The ships is typically Swedish minimalistic decor, but is very soothing and pleasantly relaxing. It is very open throughout, rather than separate rooms for offices and sitting areas. There are an abundance of little lounge areas thoughout the ship in which to sit and read or visit with friends, or nap, or look out the window. All of them have bookshelves with reading material to choose from. The Atrium is 3 stories, surrounded by balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors with tables and chairs for viewing the first floor where entertainment is provided each evening, alternating with a painist, a trio, and a guitarist. There are several bars throughout the ship , as well as quiet room with comfortable couches, chairs, coffee tables, etc. which becomes a tea room at 4 pm. There is also a Spa, some of which is included in the cruise cost. We did not use it.
Were very pleased with the cabin. Details included in above review.
