This was our third time on the Crown - due to itinerary, not because of the ship itself. Each time, the ship, the food, the activities (if any) have declined. Before considering this ship, be aware, there is no bowling alley, no rock wall, no enclosed pool, no water slide and very little to do for anyone who likes to move around at a normal pace.
The director was leaving this week, so maybe the new one will bring in fresh ideas - but don't count on it. Scooters, walkers and canes outnumbered and overwhelmed elevators. Nothing wrong with that, except that it was often as challenging for the ambulatory to get around all of the non-ambulatory passengers as it was for the scooter-bound to navigate the aisles.
There was only ONE decent night on the buffet this time, and that was the final night. All of the previous lunch and dinner buffets were duplicates of the ones before. Same minimal selections of the same old tired foods (except the last night). Dining rooms were the same as ever - super slow with minimal options.
Included in above review. Certainly nothing special and minimally maintained - rather like a budget motel.
