Overall had a very enjoyable cruise but after cruising on The Regal this ship just was not without faults. I embarked knowing that The Crown would not be The Regal, but besides the amazing On-Demand TV system and the entertainment not having enough to do for 2 Millennials the cruise did actually have some faults, but the good outweighed the bad by a long shot.

The Good

-Food in the Dining Room was still delicious. Had some amazing Prime Rib on the first night

Interior

Cabin IF

Room was your typical Interior. Was definitely showing some wear and tear and my back hurt after sleeping on the mattress after about 2 days. Pillows were super comfy though. Only true gripe is I'm ready for the On-Demand to be rolled out fleet wide.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Super low key day but really enjoyable. We got off the boat and just went to the pool in port. The pool here is REALLY good. If it was in the Bahamas you'd easily pay $20pp to go to it as a resort. Waterslide was a lot of fun but actually pretty intense, and drinks weren't terrible expensive. CocoCana is a fun place, kind of like Senor Frogs if it wasn't completely Classless. I enjoyed my time here.

Only tiny gripe is the WiFi STRUGGLES here. It's not a huge loss but I had to do school work and it was struggling to logon to Webcourses. I eventually found a secluded spot and did my school work there since the internet would work. I don't think it's truly worth the $8 until they get their infrastructure for the WiFi better.

Shopping here was pretty cool. They have a nice Duty Free shop. I wish I would have gone to the coffee shop.

Backdrops and scenery are gorgeous even inside of the port. Take lots of pictures. You'll enjoy this inexpensive day.
