Great Price for a last minute trip. We have sailed on this ships three times now.
Embarkation was so smooth, arrived at port about 11:30 a.m. on ship in about 20 minutes. Dropped bags off in cabin (R616) and headed out to explore. Our cabin steward was great, easy to locate and very friendly, Chai. We set sail on time and off we went to the Western Mexico ports. Smooth sailing with only two little sprinkles of rain. Costa Maya is a port with shopping and a few beaches down the road. We just checked it out and back on the ship. Next stop was Cozumel same here walked through the shops and back to the ship. We have been here many times. There were 5 ships in port this day. Back on ship to sail to Fort Lauderdale. Entertainment could have been better one comedian two different nights, one magician with one show in Explorers lounge could not even get it to see him. The show troupe was good. The food was not up to our normal princess experience. I felt the buffet, just so so. Dining room food the same. We have great servers in DR. We ate at Crown Grill and it was wonderful. Best experience we have had there in over 7 cruises. We purchased a coffee card, not pleased, tasted very weak for brewed coffees. Wanted to try to Salty Dog but it only open at 6 pm, same time as dining and a charge of 12.00 pp for two picks. Should be open for lunch. We had a good time, its what you make of it. Will sail Princess again, its always been our favorite.
Great size, location good, more towards the aft of the ship. Did not hear any noise from the decks above. We were worried since Horizon Grill was above, but that was not a problem. Balcony was fine for two people. Could hear people walking down the hall at night talking.
Typical port with shopping and no swimming near by.
