Ship from the Euromast Tower in Rotterdam

We chose this cruise over the other transatlantics because of the ship. We sailed on the Regal once before and felt it would be the a great ship to spend the sea days on.

The price for the journey was an excellent value and the ports of call were worth visiting. Although the amount of time in the ports was way to short to get the full experience, it was a great way to decide if we would visit any of the areas for a longer land vacation.

Dining was above average in all venues. The pastry bar in the Horizon court buffet area had some great tasting deserts. The parade of cakes was something look at as well as taste.

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin DW

Cabin was nice but small as ship cabins go. The balcony was very small as most on this ship are. It did have a small fridge and a large tv. The movies available for viewing included recent releases.

The obstruction was the life boat and rigging for the boats. It did not really obstruct the horizontal view but we were not able to look straight down to the ocean.

Port Reviews

Brugge (Bruges)

We took the Princess bus for $10 each round trip to Blankenburg about 15 minutes and then the train to Brugge for 5 euro each round trip about 20 minutes. Then we walked to the town center enjoying the view along the way. It took about 10 minutes to walk to town.

We purchased the museum pass for 20 euro each and it got us in several churh museums and the Belfry for wonderful view and photo op.

The Blefry requires you to walk up 366 steps on a narrow spiral stair case but it does have some small rooms to provide information and an oportuntity to rest on the way up.

Rotterdam

We took the princess bus into town for free and walked to the Market hall, Cube houses and then to the Euromast. Had a great time

Hamburg

This was our final stop and disembarkation port.

We took a taxi to the Radisson Blue hotel in the city center were we stayed over night before flying out the next day.

The hotel was awesome and had a fantastic view of the city from our room,1801.

We walked to the city hall, Alster lake and St. Michaels church. Most of the town was closed for Easter Monday so we enjoyed the sites and had lunch and dinner at fast food places in town.
