After sailing on Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and 3 times on Carnival -big cut backs on EVERYTHING ON THIS SHIPLINE! This recent 7 day Carnival Magic cruise identified cost cutting in a big way - only 1 theatre music show ( other VAC times 3 shows) instead used the theatre for as a bingo hall the other nights, dining room prices now have a select list (extra $20 for steak? NO charge before) , ice in room only on request, room service was either 1/2 hr late or 1hr early(knock on door at 6 30 AM??), line ups at service desk for complaints, Most of the staff were secretly admitting huge cut backs - and forced to work 70+ hrs every week and tipping was down.

Because of the staff shortage, the dining room was like a soup kitchen - workers rushing - quickly bringing orders and taking the plate away before the meal is done.

I will say that the ship was clean but definitely need so TLC as many locations need touch-up paint. Ripped flooring on deck, etc.
