Trip Details
  • Sail Date: Sep 2015
  • Destination: the Western Caribbean
  • Cabin Type: Ocean Suite

We wanted to cruise on a newer ship and picked the Breeze. We were not disappointed!

ROOM: We got a call from the "Upgrade fairy" and went from a balcony on Lido to a Ocean suite on deck 7. We just loved the suite, lots of room but missed being on Lido.

Priority boarding is a must in Miami tho. Soooo many people trying to get on at the same time. We purchased the FTTF, well worth it!! We were on the ship in 8 minutes. If they really do staggered boarding that might help.

FOOD: Here's my take, the menu has changed in the MDR. We noticed it but not a huge deal, they still had my favs. There were nights that we liked the food very much but others we decided that nothing on the menu sounded good so we went to CUCINA DEL CAPITANO. Holy amaze-balls!! We really enjoyed dinner there, very romantic, not busy. Get the risotto balls. Now lunch was a totally different menu and we did not like the sauce they used. Dinner was an up charge but the food was wonderful. we ate at Guys burgers first thing getting on the ship...lol. Loved Guys!! If you go to the deli you can order bagel with cream cheese and salmon. I got that a lot with a salad at the buffet for lunch.

FTTF not only gives you priority boarding but also platinum line at Guest services....the regular line was 20 people deep almost all the time.

My favs: playing beer pong, dancing on lido at night was fun. Shows were pretty good too! Our room was quiet, which was what we needed.

Cabin Review

Ocean Suite
Cabin OS 7243

very roomy, walk in closet with large mirror. Deck was bigger than the balcony room. there was a desk to sit at and another space for storage and a fridge.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

The lines were terrible to check in. We had priority boarding, thank God. (FTTF) Worth the money!!

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

you have to take a tender to get to the island. We just walked around a bit. Not much to do if you don't take a excursion.

lots of shops right at the port. Have taken the Paradise Island excursion and was great. Food was terrible but drinks were great, swimming was fun, lots of chairs and tables.

our other excursion was a tour outside of carnival. We went to the ruins, city tour and a few local stops. Was fun!
