Chose this cruise because Galveston is close to home. Will never go on the BREEZE again, the ship needs to be refurbished and cleaned. The hallways always smelled like sewer. The 5th floor reeked of cigarette smoke this is where the casino was and I am not sure why this was a smoking zone. You had to walk through the casino to get to the BLUSH Dining Room so you always smelled like smoke -- the BLUSH Dining room was inconveniently located in the rear of the ship on the 3rd floor and you could not get there without going up or down a floor and then back up to the 3rd floor. No signage indicating where restrooms were located. Most of the staff appeared to resent being asked questions. The food was nothing special regular poor cruise food the chef could not even make Cherry Pie! The Pizza was good and the french fries at Guy's Hamburgers were always hot. There was no option to mark off gratuity -- if all you do is hand me a bottle of water that does not constitute a tip -- now if you make me a drink then for sure I will tip. Seriously considering sending recipes to the chef and I do not even cook. The entertainment was not up to par from other Carnival Cruises -- some new performance called FLICK -- basically interpretive dance not "for all ages". Would not recommend this ship. Also, I do not understand why ships port in areas that are considered unsafe -- Belize City had absolutely nothing to see so if you are going to this port BOOK AN EXCURSION because there is nothing to see in the city/town and you are warned when leaving the port that you are on your own and to be safe!!
