I have cruised with AMA Waterways before on the Danube two years ago. The food, accommodation, excursions, rooms are all excellent. Complimentary wine of a high standard flows freely at meal times and the staff - who are AMA Waterways best asset - are absolutely incredible. They can not do enough to help you and make sure that your cruise is pleasant. This cruise was downstream from Basel to Amsterdam and the weather was hot, hot, hot so we were able to use the on-board pool. The entertainments provided are varied and the resident pianist Zsolt plays to a very high standard - both classical and popular music. Csaba Tamas the cruise manager for this cruise was entertaining, charming and organised. It is perhaps invidious to single out single crew members as we got to know the names of them all during the cruise as the boat numbers about 140-150 passengers but they were all wonderful.
