This was a decent cruise. It was nothing special but, I did notice somethings that were good and not so good about this cruise. The Regal, in my opinion, is lacking in quality general and adult swim areas. The cabin I was in (mini-suite) appeared to be smaller than other mini-suite cabins I had been in on other cruises. The cabana I rented on one Princess Cays was not available when I arrived and had to go to another section of beach, not of my choosing, to rent the cabana. Now, for the good..., the food was exceptional, both in the dining areas and in the buffet. I'm not sure what they had done on this ship to make it to where there was always seating available when dining in the buffet area. Whatever they did, my hat is off to them on this ship. Other than the above it was just a normal cruise. I would recommend one more thing however, I recommend not booking early. Princess seems to be going through a price gouging thing on early booking with all other kinds of gimmicky things (e.g. free gratuity or, add a 3 or 4 person for a few bucks) to make it look like you are getting a good deal however, the best deal is for those who wait. Last year I paid $1149/person for the cruise but, 3 months after booking the price dropped to $899/person. When trying to re-negotiate, my requests fell on deaf ears. I had found the sales representative that Princess assigned to be to be totally useless. Always and excuse, never an answer. Needless to say, I'm back to doing it by myself and waiting to see what the price structure is in October. If it is the same, my next cruise will be a new adventure because it won't be with Princess. Until now, I booked Princess without even checking other cruise lines. The present Princess is not you parent's Princess but, I guess, what is?
