We were very excited to experience the new ship, The Regal, and were not disappointed. The pool areas were wonderful, we loved Movies Under The Stars (though i suggest you bring your own blanket to avoid lines to turn rented ones back in), the activities deck on the top of the ship was well loved by my 18 year old. He was stuck between being too old for the teens club (even though he was still in his senior year) and too young for the singles group. But he found a group of kids in the similar situation and had a great time. We enjoyed all of our meals, especially in the formal dining room. Our kids just loved everything they tried. The ship was spacious and had many nice places to just hang out. You rarely felt that your were there along with thousands of others. The theater was a neat design and concept and we enjoyed the shows very much. The ports were good and though we had visited before we found them fun and entertaining. Though

we had never been to Princess Cayes and don't care if I every get back there. It was not up to the standard of the cruise ship. Things were worn, old and broken. Ugh . Our 10 year old liked the kids club but just ended up hanging out with us most of the time.

My biggest disappointment was the room. We have been told that we are eligible for upgrades for the last two cruises but haven't received even one. There were 4 of us basically on top of eachother in a family balcony cabin. The balcony helped but it was so difficult to just move around, function, all get ready for dinner, etc. The beds were very comfortable, though the ones that came down from the ceilings were way too short for my 6" son. Our cabin steward was absolutely spectacular. I've just about had it with the miniature rooms. Some people don't mind about the rooms being small but I do mind.

Princess Cays

The beach was just beautiful. The facilities were old, worn out and just not good. Plus you are nickel and dimed for everything.
