Sail Date: Dec 2014
Cabin: Owner's Suite

We booked a concierge level suite on the Freedom of the Seas for Dec 7 to join some friends that were also sailing. I have stayed in suite level cabins on Disney & Norweigan. While not expecting DCL service, I had heard many good things about RCI.

Sadly, this may be my LAST RCI cruise.

RCI made the decision to send out a ship that wasn't 100% operational. One of the three engines was not operational which resulted in a reduced cruising speed. This resulted in delays arriving at every port of call and early departures. We were originally scheduled for 34 hours in port at four different stops. The maintenance issue shaved 12 hours off the stops, and then the medical emergency which we experienced took off another 7 another seven so approximately 56% of our scheduled time port time was removed from our vacation.

Great location, near elevators (and concierge lounge) but not too close. Balcony was fantastic with plenty of room. Light switches were weird and hard to figure out what worked what.
