BACKGROUND INFO As our choice of Disney Cruise Line last year was such a success last summer (Western Caribbean), we booked this Mediterranean cruise onboard the last time. We are a male married couple (33 and 36) from Norway. HOTEL INFO We arrived at Barcelona late morning the day before the cruise, and headed straight to Hotel Miramar (got it through Hotwire! Excellent choice!). I am sure the ...

Things started to go wrong from the minute we boarded. Greeted in the Centrum and directed to the Caballeros dining room for lunch. We were shown to a table with a view and were served by a very pleasant young man. The buffet style lunch was excellent plenty of choice and nicely prepared. We decided that we would save some time and asked our server to arrange a wine package for us, which he ...

Our transatlantic cruise was the trip of a lifetime. I did not expect to enjoy every minute so much because I had anticipated a tedious, boring voyage. So happy to be proved wrong! If there is a lecturer on board advising what to see and do in each port and giving information about the science of the sea - GO! Professor Chuck was absolutely fascinating on our cruise. We learned about the depths ...

Great R&R trip from the busy northeast! On a quick semi-anniversary trip for 45-44yr olds with kids in college. We got bumped from a couple flights and ended up having to fly into Tampa on cruise day instead of our original plan to stay at the airport Hyatt in Orlando. We were not happy after all that. We rented a car from Budget one way to Port Canaveral with less than 12hrs notice. Nice clean ...

About me: Frequent cruiser in my 40s, traveling with a group of 20, first time on Disney (RC and Carnival in past), love to dance. Not a Disney fan in general. Was worried about boredom on 12 day Transatlantic. Most of group in early 20s. 3 teens. Before I give a general review, let me tell you about the end of our Disney cruise. Docked in Barcelona. One in party had quick flight to US. Rest of ...

This was my second TA on the Disney Magic. First time in 2011. The ship refurbishment was a big improvement. Pluses: Embarkation smooth, The new buffet at the back. The food at lunch: great shrimp , roasts, salads etc. The service. The maitre d in the dining room. Movies all day. the promenade deck. The entertainment. the adult pool.Castaway cay. Alcohol policy. Free sodas. Fabulous weather and ...

A Magical Experience, a bit more Pixie Dust needed in some places.

A quick note about embarkation, we stayed and did some park days prior and then got to port (we park offsite), had a fine experience getting our shuttle and getting to port and getting right on. We were eating lunch on deck by 12:30 and if we had gotten out earlier, we could have been on even earlier than that. Embarkation at Port Canaveral is a breeze, even with a crowd. This was our second ...

Just got back from 4 night cruise to the Bahamas and Castaway Cay aboard the Disney Magic with husband and our toddler daughter. First off, this was our first cruise on DCL but 4th cruise overall (all other cruises were on NCL). Pros: The animator's palate restaurant show was really cool. I was told that this was the first sailing with the new show since there had been some glitches that needed ...

We've been on more than 35 cruises. We've been on one other Disney cruise and loved it. This time we took my stepdaughters, their spouses and 3 grandchildren. We had 3 staterooms. First, because it was spring break, the prices were even more than usual but we expected that and booked early. Had we waited, it would have been $5,000 more! When we were on our way to the room, we smelled the all ...

This was our 3rd Disney cruise and it did not disappoint! After sailing on the Magic last year we were excited to see how she looked with her new renovations done in the fall. Coming back to the ship, she felt like home yet had some new "bonus" features that we got to love about her too. FOOD: The food was amazing as always! Love the new buffet area, Cabanas! The theming is lively and it seems ...
