There are teething problems, but you'll still enjoy it!
"All of these have been stripped away over the years and smokers now only have one corner of deck 18 with no cover, no seating and no other option anywhere on the ship unless you're playing in the casino.Summary: - Faultless service from absolutely everybody - Food excellent everywhere, particularly in Palomar and the Commodore Room - Beautiful modern ship with plenty to do on it, but be aware lots of the activities come with an upcharge - Entertainment spaces excluding the theatre are far too small for the number of guests on the ship, and you must book in advance if required, or turn up extremely early if it's not a bookable event - you'll miss out otherwise...."Read More

Lots of design flaws

Review for Norwegian Prima to Caribbean - Western

Our experience is pretty much very similar with most fellow reviewers. The ship is beautiful inside and out. The food in most restaurants is excellent. We're regular NCL cruisers and I could say it's the best food on a cruise ship we've experienced. We too especially like the Indulge Food Hall. It's a very cool concept and food tastes mostly good. All the staffs are excellent. The shows are ...

Epic fail

We’ve been on 25+ cruises. This ship is a civil engineering nightmare with a Carnival type experience. Literally our second worst cruise experience. Lots of thought given to the staterooms but everything else is a logistical nightmare. You can never seem to get from point A to B via a direct route. No matter if it’s forward to aft or up and down. Pool size is ridiculous in addition to only one ...

Disappointment for a family with kids

I’m writing this review 5 days into the cruise vacation before it’s even ends, because I’ve had enough from it. It’s a new ship, so it’s super clean, no doubt about that. The design is so beautiful, we loved the interior of our balcony cabins (connecting). However, the balcony faces the infinity pool directly, so no privacy whatsoever, shame we didn’t know about it in advance. Quality of ...

I have never written a review before but felt the need to share my thoughts and what people told me on the cruise. I was on the thanksgiving week sailing in the haven. This was the first cruise on the prima at completely full capacity (3500 people with 500 kids). I was extremely excited to try the Prima, and I had been on 2 previous cruises this year with NCL (Joy- Haven, Bliss- Club Balcony). ...

***This was an inaugural travel agent event*** Embarkation was pretty smooth, was on the ship by 1130am. Will post review by topics Food: The main dining room menu was decent. Coconut shrimp was the best appetizer. Buffet area on deck 17 was only on one side, small. Chairs were big booty friendly. The chairs for the high tops are not big booty friendly. :) Food was ...

Beautiful ship missed the mark

Embarkation, pretty much same as any RCL cruise. Security, meet at counter person to person, review docs, picture, key card, proceed to board. Stateroom, 9388 balcony, room was beautiful and nicely decorated and designed, nice bed very comfortable, bathroom, largest ever seen in standard balcony. Outstanding shower, large for a cruise ship, 4 way adjustable shower head, burn your skin off ...

I loved my 11-night cruise (Oct. 31 - Nov. 11) on the Norwegian Prima. I usually cruise with Celebrity but I think the Prima out-Celebrities Celebrity. While the Prima venues are all small relative to the passenger capacity of the ship, if the ship is less than 75% full then with a few exceptions, it’s not a problem. PRO’s: Beautiful finishes and furnishings. Much more understated and ...

The bulk of the itinerary was to visit the Southern Caribbean. I have never been. I also have never been to Galveston, TX before. The idea of new destinations appealed to me. I booked the first week bookings became available. The marketing described the ship as more space per passenger and a lower crew to passenger ratio. Both statements were accurate for the most part. In an effort to ...

Great Concept….Missed the Mark

Review for Norwegian Prima to Caribbean - All

As Latitude Sapphire, I’ve been on a cruise or two…almost 200 nights on NCL. I was excited to experience the Prima on only its 5th voyage. The concept of “more space” for passengers is a great idea but poorly executed. As I currently sit at the main pool (real time review), the space is so small and so packed with people that it feels more like a low budget spring break experience. They’ve ...

We so looked forward to Prima. As massive NCL fans very loyal to the brand, we couldn't wait to get onboard. Our first impressions were..wow. the Penrose Atrium was so fresh and had that new car feeling. Our initial look over the ship was very positive. The stateroom (Balcony BC Cat) was beautiful, felt spacious and luxurious. The bathroom was also a delight. After our eleven night cruise we drew ...
