I've been on 3 cruise lines now (Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Disney), and I don't think you could get me on anything other than Disney after this cruise. I am officially spoiled rotten. Basic info: I'm a 58 year-old woman and I went with a traveling buddy/friend of mine slightly younger than me, and we had no kids. We both agreed that this cruise easily topped the others. You might wonder ...
Pros
Overall food was excellent. The breakfast and Lunch Buffets are the best, the sit down at night was satisfying. Though I did not like eating at the Parrot restaurant two nights in a row. Our server was very nice, she gave us free samples to try and was very helpful and caring with out kids.Portions were small so I recommend ordering multiple items.
The shows were first class, kids did not ...
This was our first Disney Cruise and WOW, it was truly a dream vacation. The customer services, from the moment you enter the port till the time you left it was nothing less than extraordinary. Checking in was a breezy. I was amazed that I was able to take snacks and baby food on board, no questions asked. I went with my husband, my now 3 year old son (who turned 3 on the ship) and 18 month ...
We are Castaways Club members and, as such, have been on several Disney Cruises. In fact, we will not cruise on any other cruise line. Having said that, our recent cruise on the Disney Magic was disappointing. The ship is in dire need of a big makeover, especially in the adults only pool area. The pool area has a lot of rust and surface dirt and the only food available is if you walk to the ...
I have heard how Disney Cruises are so worth the extra money, and now I have to admit...I didn't want to get off the ship after 7 nights. The service - impeccable - they are there to please you. The food - incredible. The cleanliness - immaculate (EVERYWHERE you go they hand out wipes). Stateroom size (we had a verandah) - I was amazed with 4 people that we had plenty of storage (and I even ...
This was my second time on a cruise, first being with the Royal Caribbean during hurricane Sandy. After such a horrible experience I never thought I could possibly go on a cruise again. However, being such a Disney fan, with hesitation I gave it a second chance. Boy was it the best experience ever! The room was a great size it felt like I was in a hotel room considering you're on a boat. The boat ...
I love Cruising...It is an awesome way to vacation, I have cruised before on Carnival and absolutely loved it, but now I have two little girls, my oldest is 4 and my youngest is 18 months. My husband and I decided Disney Cruise would be perfect for the children. It was a beautiful ship and the service was 5 star, however, there were several aspects of it that I was not pleased with and it did seem ...
First time cruise as a family of five. Three children, all under 9. Stateroom on 6th floor. Embarkation was easy. There will be some characters in the port, don't wait, they will be on the ship later . Definitely enroll your child in kids clubs and get their wrist band. The line will be long, but it's worse waiting until you are onboard. Our stateroom was on the 6th floor midship/aft. Had lifeboat ...
We decided on this cruise for our 7 year old daughter. First impressions were the ship is beautiful and very clean. Check in was quick and easy. We went to eat lunch at the buffet once on board. The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. It was also very difficult to find a seat and we had to wait until someone left in order to grab a table. We headed to our stateroom and the hallway was packed ...
