We decided on this cruise for our 7 year old daughter. First impressions were the ship is beautiful and very clean. Check in was quick and easy. We went to eat lunch at the buffet once on board. The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. It was also very difficult to find a seat and we had to wait until someone left in order to grab a table. We headed to our stateroom and the hallway was packed with people waiting to be let in to their rooms. If you are claustrophobic this is not a good situation. We waited at least 20 minutes past the time they told us we would be allowed to get into our staterooms. We had a porthole window and the room was big enough for the 3 of us. The bathroom showed it's age a little bit but overall it was nice.

Our room steward and dinner servers were fantastic! Our daughter wanted the wall bunk bed pulled down every night and our steward never complained once and always had it set up for her. Our dinner hosts were always giving us tips and tricks about the ports plus always made sure we were completely satisfied with our meals.

The food overall was good. Some nights were a lot better than others. We were disappointed more than once in the quality. The dining rooms are extremely noisy with lots of silverware and plates clanking. We also witnessed glasses being broken every single night by servers dropping their trays. We could understand once or twice but it happened every single night. Weird. Breakfast was the same thing every single morning at the buffet.

Castaway Cay

Cute island that is in pure Disney form. They don't miss a trick. We had no trouble finding a chair to put our belongings and we had a great time swimming. The buffet lunch was ok. Not fantastic but not terrible. It was food so we didn't complain. Again the rude cruise line guests can really spoil it for you. Anything from cutting in line at the buffet to taking over your beach chair and putting their sandy shoes and other goodies on top of your stuff...as well as stealing your raft...again not Disney's fault but just be warned there were a lot of adults on their worse behavior. Pretty annoying. Our daughter got chewed up by mosquitoes so take your bug spray! She was in so much pain we thought it was a jelly fish sting at first. We took her to first aid but they told us they couldn't do anything and to stick her in the bathtub on the ship. As I mentioned before a non-Disney tram employee yelled at me to "hurry up" to get on the tram with my arms full and sweating like crazy. I didn't appreciate this at all seeing as we had to carry our daughter due to bug bites and I got stuck with all of the heavy stuff. I was moving as quickly as possible.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We didn't do anything here except park our car and check in. Very friendly curbside luggage service. They could not be any nicer. It was a great way to start our trip. Embarkation was super easy and fast. We were able to board the ship right away.
