Wonderful cruise if you are reasonable

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on MSC Seaside

I picked this cruise because it allowed us to visit 6 ports and by getting creative with excursions, we got to visit 8 islands in a week. We generally had a wonderful time. The food was good at both the main dining room for dinner as well as the buffet. I was generally always able to eat something I liked. They have hot sauce, salt, and pepper in the buffet so you can spice up any food you find ...

MSC Was Great For Me

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on MSC Seaside

Despite the negative reviews of MSC I chose to cruise on the Seaside because the Caribbean/Antilles itinerary was exactly what I was looking for. 6 Islands in 7 days. I booked an MSC excursion in each port and found the guides to be friendly, informative and fun. I had especially been looking forward to the Botanical Gardens and beach tour in Guadeloupe because I really enjoy the British detective ...

We (2 adults) chose this cruise specifically for the date (it fit our calendars) and the ports - Martinique, Guadaloupe, St Lucia, Barbados, St Vincent & Grenada). I was a bit hesitant because of all the negative reviews but WOW! We did not have a single complaint. Nice cabin (comfortable bed, veranda and full size couch.) The food was good at both the dining room and buffet BUT the ...

Sailing Cruise from St Lucia to Martinique

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Vela

This was my third Island Windjammer Cruise, and the second on Vela. This year was the usual itinerary that leaves from Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia, and goes to Martinique before returning to Saint Lucia. My wife and I were on the same ship last year, but had to do a southern itinerary as France did not allow cruise ships to dock in 2022 due to Covid. My favorite part of this Sailing Cruise is the ...

Great for Solo Travelers

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Le Dumont d'Urville

Ponant is one of the few cruise lines that offers multiple cruises without a single supplement. For almost the same price as a Caribbean cruise on a premium cruise line (double for solos), I was able to book a mid-ship balcony cabin on an ultra-luxury Ponant cruise. Le Dumont d'Urville is a beautiful mega-yacht with a modern, minimalist design. Food, drinks, service, cabins, lectures and so forth ...

We choose this 'cruise because it was good value. We flew to Barcelona and everything was very organised on board - from the first day to the final day we laughed, had fun, made friends and both my friends and I would love to go on another cruise. Our room on board was lovely - especially our balcony. The offshore places we visited were interesting and we had plenty of time to visit ...

Surprise visit to Bermuda!

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Le Boreal

We chose this cruise as being the most interesting way to manage our return home to Perth, Australia from Fort de France - Martinique. Unknown to us when we booked, the ship was scheduled to visit Bermuda over 2 days, which extended our planned voyage by these 2 days (at no extra cost). The bonus of this leg was being introduced to the Groupama people at a sit-down meal on the arrival evening ...
