1st Princess Cruise - meh
"Princess insisted on calling me by my legal first name, a name I do not use nor go by.I don't need a full buffet choice of food at midnight (and on HAL ships, there is no place to go and get food) and the Princess International Cafe was a delight to have available, regardless the time of day or night...."Read More

Repositioning Cruise

We chose this cruise because we live in Southern CA and it was less travel to be on a cruise. We haven't gone for a number of years, for obvious reasons, and looked forward to the days at sea, port activities, and the destinations. The first afternoon on the ship, we went to the "app" to get dinner reservations for that night and found out that we did NOT have dinner (table or time) for the entire ...

4 generations of our family flew to Los Angeles from BC for a week in Disneyland. This cruise brought us home with amazing stops in San Francisco, Astoria and Victoria. We intended to use the cruise to recover from Disneyland but found that there was just too much to do on the ship and in port. We enjoyed one formal night which gave the little ones a chance to dress as a little gentleman (3 year ...

First cruise on Princess (all prior cruise experience has been Holland America). I was asked to accompany my sister and her husband on their first-ever cruise (they picked this one). Pacific Coastal cruise San Diego/San Francisco/Astoria, OR/Victoria/Vancouver, BC. I understand that for security reasons my full legal name - as on my Passport, etc. - must be available to Princess for TSA ...

Disappointment

Our trip was designed to be a pre-holiday get away. The sailing was OK but not special. I probably won't sail on this itinerary again even as short get away. Several public restrooms were out of order. The entertainment was stale. It seemed to be stuck in the 70's. Housekeeping staff was outstanding. Overall all the staff was friendly and helpful. As for the dinning, I didn't experience a single ...

We take a couple of these short cruises yearly to unplug and unwind. We did find that the customer service was not to the level we have come to expect from Princess. Speakeasy Cigar Lounge; Usually there is a remote control for the television in the cigar lounge, on this trip there was not. As this is the only place one can smoke a cigar, it would be nice to actually be able to go in smoke ...

Our service was excellent. The food was very good. This was our first cruise. The Jazz band was very good as well as the other musical performers. We really did not participate in all the other activities available. We didn't go on any port excursions because we have already gone to Santa Barbara and we had no interest in going to Encinadas. If we were to go on another cruise , I guess my ...

Enjoyed our little getaway. Crown Princess - 4 days including Santa Barbara and Ensenada. We took a little trolley tour in Santa Barbara but did not get off the ship in Ensenada. We had no agenda, just a relaxing time away from home with no cooking, cleaning or worries. The cabin we chose was a balcony with queen bed. I like that each cabin has a small fridge and it was always stocked ...

My honey and I decided to take the Crown on a four night getaway. We had a great time and were very happy with our choice. Embarkation and disembarkation were fast and efficient. We booked a balcony on the port side that was clean and comfortable. We couldn't have had a better steward. Unfortunately his name escapes me but we were in R520 on the Riviera deck. There weren't any amenities in our ...

The Service was lacking on this cruise. We are Elite and know what to expect with Princess and the 4/30 sailing did not stand up to it at all!! Ship is very "dated" and needs a Lot of work done to it!! Entertainment was great especially Steve Moris. The Menu was not great. They did not offer a Beef alternative every night as they used too. If you didn't like Lamb, Fish or Chicken you were out of ...
