We are not Princess aficionados and only one of our previous 13 cruises was with Princess. There is no particular reason for this, but we choose cruises on itinerary, dates and price with cruise line as a secondary consideration, and other lines have happened to be offering what we want. We haven’t been aware of any unique selling points for Princess, though on our first cruise with them they ...

Having read some of the reviews (after we had booked!) we were concerned that we had made the wrong choice - delighted to report that we had a wonderful cruise and would have happily stayed on the ship and replay the holiday again! Original cruise choice was based on price of balcony compared with other cruise lines and Princess was the cheapest by a significant margin. Super quick embarkation - ...

Our first cruise was with Princess some 18 years ago and we did 8 overseas cruises with them before we decided not to fly so much and take cruises from Southampton instead. We then did over 10 cruises with Cunard and then one with P & O on the Arcadia in September 2015. This cruise was with our children, daughter in law and four grandchildren. That is nine in total. We chose this cruise ...

This was our first cruise with Princess. We sailed on the Emerald Princess from Southampton on the 20th August with our Daughter son in law and two grandchildren aged 14 and 11. Embarkation was slow, as there were storms affecting the port and Princess were unable, for safety reasons, to use the covered walkway to board the ship and boarding had to take place from dockside up a ramp. We were ...

We sailed to the Canaries on this ship earlier this year and the overall experience was a big disappointment. We retained this booking to Norway's North Cape with some doubt, but found the ship experience to be very much improved. Embarkation at Southampton was excellent. Lifeboat drill before we sailed was compulsory. Princess take safety very very seriously. Our Caribe deck cabin - ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the North Cape and midnight sun. Thoroughly enjoyable voyage although the weather could have been kinder. A few rough seas and sickness - although thankfully we were OK. Even managed a bit of sunbathing on the balcony on some days. Ship is fine - we had also been on it two years ago. Unfortunately we found that most of the theatre entertainment ...

NORTH CAPE IN AUGUST

August might sound like a good time to cruise to the Arctic Circle but it's wise to go prepared. As we discovered, it can be wet and windy, so we were glad we took waterproof over-trousers. We were less prepared for the numerous children on board but, as it was school holiday time, this was probably inevitable. The 14 day cruise from Southampton included just 4 sea days but the weather ...

A great cruise marred by poor behaviour!

We chose this cruise as we wished to go from the UK rather than fly and we had cruised with Princess twice in the past. Emerald Princess and P&O's Ventura are identical ships built in the same shipyard. I looked to go with P&O on the 22/07/2016 on a near identical itinerary in a mini suite but it was over £6,000 more expensive than Emerald Princess! Embarkation was a breeze, considering the ...

Had a fabulous cruise to the Baltic. All ports of call were excellent. The standard of service was great. And the staff went well beyond the call of duty to ensure you had a great cruise. The food on board was excellent but some of the shows left a bit to be desired in there quality.the production shows were excellent and very well produced. Only major complaint was the stafff in the MDR not ...

My wife had always wanted to visit Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallinn and St. Petersburg and I had always wanted to visit St. Petersburg, Tallinn and Stockholm. With this in mind, when we received information on the Baltic cruise with Princess, we had to book our places. Other advantages of the cruise would be a visit to Gdansk, which we both wanted to visit as we had enjoyed a city break in Krakow, ...
