We chose this cruise for the itinerary following a princess land tour of Ireland (which was fabulous). Overall, the ports were excellent but there were too many water shuttle ports which created issues for those with disabilities. Several of the water shuttles broke down so we spent one to two hours waiting In the public areas to board one. The shore excursions we took were excellent and informative, especially Belfast. We had no problems with our medallions and found it so easy to use. We have certainly had better food on previous Princess cruises. This was mediocre. We assumed that rising food costs may have played a part in the quality. That said, this was our first experience in club class dining and we loved it. No wait for a table and excellent service. There is no going back after enjoying club class. Our cruise, which had a large number of Brits on board, was festive and fun because of the queen’s platinum jubilee. Our mini suite was comfortable and clean but worn. The ship needs a refresh. Halfway through our cruise, the captain announced that covid cases were rising and masks were mandatory. It certainly took some of the fun out of it but we really appreciated the captain’s sharing the issue with us. We have talked to people on other cruises who said their captains never shared covid issues even when they knew there were problems. We were glad to see the staff handling the buffet again after witnessing some very bad buffet behavior among guests. Using hands instead of tongs, smelling the serving spoon to see if the aroma is pleasing, etc. It was obvious that there was a shortage of staff and those on board were tired. They work so hard and certainly deserve our gratitude. All in all, a good cruise. Hopefully, conditions will improve as covid wanes.

Our guide, Colin, was the best ever! So enthusiastic and informative.

We explored it on our own and found it so easy to get around. Lots to see.

Greenock (Glasgow)

We did a tour of the Scottish Highlands. Beautiful scenery but guide was disappointing. Long hours on a bus with long silences.
