Disappointment with Entertainment

Embarkation was very good and well organised, the ship is lovely and clean, the staff very friendly for most of the bars and restaurants. The entertainment was awful and not what anyone other than Americans would call entertainment, this made the whole trip poor because wherever you went you were bombarded by really poor so called entertainment, this was compares asking guest to run around ...

Our first cruise experience - but first of many!

This was our first venture into a cruise holiday and we chose this particular route as it enabled us to sail from Southampton which meant we had the first three days at sea which was perfect to relax and settle into the holiday. Getting on board was very slickly handled with no queuing, clear instructions and very helpful crew. The bags are taken from your car as you pull up so no carrying of ...

We have had a few princess cruises, and must admit that I was disappointed with the ship as far as the different size of the bars and especially the putting green. We had always had such fun on the deck after dinner, and enjoyed it with friends. But on this ship it was non exsistant. Far too small. The wheel house bar, by far our favourite one on princess, was half the size . It is such a popular ...

Very Good First Cruise

Having nothing to compare the Caribbean Princess with and reading some of the reviews, I wondered what I had let myself in for. All I can say l was pleasantly surprised. Sure the Ships is looking a bit tired but she goes in for a refit next year. From the moment of embarkation (which was very quick and efficient) to the point of disembarkation (the only let down) we could find nothing to ...

A Wonderful 2 Weeks

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Caribbean Princess

The first time we sailed with Princess was back in 2000. It was our first cruise and we were hooked. Although we have sailed on a number of lines in the meantime this was only the second time it has been with Princess. We were travelling with our 13 year old son who is autistic and also has a lactose intolerance. He cannot always cope with large crowds or noisy rooms so we booked a min-suite ...

The ship is looking a little dated, compared to the Ruby we previously sailed with, but still an amazing 14 days on the Med. We had an inside cabin on Lido deck, which was a first for us, but it worked out well although I love a good book on the balcony. Food was ok in the main dining room, but with a child, we preferred to eat in the buffet areas. There were about 500 children on board due to ...

Firstly I can not complain about the staff on the Ship they all worked very hard, Allthough some staff did have difficulty in having 100% command of English. I am not a fan of American beers and was shocked at the absence of british beers, The vast majority of persons on the cruise were British . Secondly when ordering a drinck I had no idea of the actual cost as this was not displayed. Last year ...

Onboard within 15 minutes of arriving at 12 noon. Room was ready for us. Wonderful staff in all the ship. Always said hello and were extremely helpful and polite in all departments. Captain gave information on navigation daily. His ...

We travelled the first week of the school summer holidays, if you don't like kids don't travel in the school holidays!! There were a lot of teens on board but they were no trouble and all polite and well behaved, so what, they may have been noisey at times but they're on HOLIDAY. We had a mini suite on deck 9 it was lovely and clean our only probelm was the sofa bed my daughter had to sleep ...

14 Day Mediterranean Adventurer - First Ever Cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Our first ever cruise (probably not our last). This was an overall enjoyable cruise. We are a fully able English couple in our late 50s who, in the main, like to do our own thing. I'm not particularly social whereas my wife can talk to anybody. First off tips for new cruisers: Princess uses American power so bring a US to UK adapter and UK extension lead which you can use for all your ...
