I chose this cruise for my birthday and wanted to try cruising alone. I was fortunate enough to be upgraded from a regular inside cabin to a "larger" inside cabin shortly before embarkation date so that was a nice surprise.
The ship is nicely decorated and, for a larger ship, doesn't feel TOO big. Unlike the mega ships Britannia still has a personal feel and after a few days onboard it ...
This was our fifth cruise and first with P&O. Previous cruises have been with NCL and RCL. Overall we enjoyed our cruise very much and there's a lot to love about P&O. However, compared to other cruise lines there was some definite shortcomings and room for improvement.
Firstly things we loved about the Britannia. The balcony room F112 was the nicest balcony room we've had. Furnishings were ...
This was our 2nd cruise with p&o, the 1st on Azura. Brittania is a lovely ship, however very badly designed the lifts are an absoloute nightmare. We travel with our disabled son and spent most of our time waiting for lifts !! however wouldn;t have to wait so long if the able bodied people used the stairs!!!! ( they could walk off the food they ate !! ). The rooms are very modern and good sized but ...
We decided to go on the Britannia to celebrate a 30th Birthday. We didn’t know what to expect because we heard that the entertainment on board was more focused on older people, we have been with Disney many times besides the fact of me being an entertainer and performer for disneyworld and Disney Cruise Line for 8 years. Also, we have cruised with Royal Caribbean and we knew we wouldn’t find a ...
I chose this cruise as the cabins are stylish, it is British in personality, and passengers are allowed to take their own alcohol onboard (1L each, although I did take a bit more onboard with no problems).
My balcony cabin with sofa was not only nice to look at, but so well designed that it felt much larger. The bed was extremely comfortable, the TV had a lot of films to watch, the White ...
We had to unfortunately cancel our original cruise because of health problems so this Cruise was very much last minute for us as we like to book well ahead to get the cabin we want. We enjoyed the Baltic the last time we were there 8 years ago and thought it would be good to visit again.
Having read several reviews earlier we were a little apprehensive but were pleasantly surprised. Britannia ...
Having cruised Iceland and the Med we wanted to see the Baltic states and St Petersburg in particular. We were slightly put off by many critical reviews of Britannia but remembered critical reviews of previous ships which we enjoyed. The balcony cabin was compact but well designed and well looked after by our steward. The food ranged from good to excellent and the waiters were friendly and ...
I chose this cruise due to its itinerary and duration -Baltic states, unfortunately so did at least several thousand other folks on at least 4 other cruise ships in the same ports everyday (8 ships in St Petersburg) so be prepared this itinerary is VERY popular.
Britannia herself looks spectacular in port, there’s no dioubting that, but she’s a little too big for my usual choice of ship but the ...
Our first time on a cruise and we loved every minute of it.
Arrived at the port, car unloaded by porter, car taken to the car park, booked in at the cruise terminal,no problems.
The ship is very big but getting around was not a problem for us, but the lifts on the ship were a bit of a let down whilst you were waiting for one it just went past your floor.
Found our cabin, large inside ...
The attraction of this cruise was the Norwegian Fjords.Embarkation at Southampton was as always well organised.Ghe ship is large and the new decor a bit drab ,brown and cream colour scheme although smart was boring. The ship is always super clean everywhere and the whole staff work tirelessly to keep it that way.
It was half term so there were many children on board and as the weather was ...
