It is 9 years since we were last on a RC cruise and fair to say there was a very noticeable difference in the overall quality of the offering - and unfortunately not all was for the better.
The ship itself is very impressive but a number of areas were simply too small to cope with the demands of the 3,700 passengers - most notably the Schooner bar and the coffee shop on the Royal Promenade where ...
We usually book inside cabins on the 18 cruises we have been on and we had cabin 7131 on this ship that we havent been on before. It had twin beds pushed together for a queen and my wife had to climb on the bed as it was too near the wall.Mornings around 5am the noise from above started. We phoned reception and 2 security guards who investigated said it was kitchen preparation and it wouldnt happen ...
Well , let's start at embarkation , which was changed from 11am to 2pm due to a deep cleanse requires as norovirus was on the previous sailing. All went quite well ,considering. Although the muster was a bit of a shambles , as guests still walking on at that time.
Our first cruise , we absolutely loved it. Met some nice people , food was good , and most importantly , the service was great. Staff ...
In 2013 we sailed out of Rome on the Navigator of the seas. It was our first cruise and it was almost perfect. The ship was spotless the crew were friendly and polite. We learned a lot from this cruise. And one of the things we did learn was to travel from Canada to Europe a few days earlier than the sailing date, and get over the jet lag.
The Navigator of the Seas was due to depart from ...
Just returned from 14 night Western Med on AOS,getting onboard was total nightmare but for our own safe and well being as so many passengers were taking ill on cruise before.

Boarding was delayed because of Noro Virus on the previous cruise and long queues were causing some consternation for passengers. Fortunately we were able to bypass these as we are diamond members.
There was continuous cleaning taking place throughout the cruise to try and eliminate further infections and all crew must be praised for the extra work, often unpaid, to eliminate the virus. I have ...
This was our 4th cruise, 3rd with RCI and worst. It started of with the utter chaos at Southampton waiting to board the ship, due to the deep clean and the Norovirus outbreak from the previous cruise that was being carried out on board the ship. We had received the e-mail to tell us about the deep clean so paid extra to our hotel to keep our room longer. But at 2pm we had to head for the ship. ...
Royal Caribbean International, Adventure of the Seas, cruise October 12-26 2014
All monies paid to Royal Caribbean, we were given notice of when to check in for boarding at Southampton, as we were on deck 7, our time was for 13:30. We were asked not to turn up before this time so as not to overcrowd the departures lounge. 9th October I received an email requesting me not to turn up until 15:15, ...
After many cruises with RC,we have always come home excited to tell everyone about the unusual and special things that only happen on a cruise. We have cruised with many cruise lines and of course they also have that one and only type of holiday that you get when cruising.
Last year we went with three different cruise lines NCL, in March, RC,Adventure Of The Seas in July and in October P & O. ...
As my title says it was so much better than I had been expecting from someof the reviews I had read. Getting on board at Southampton was a piece of cake, our balcony cabin on deck 6 was spotless and Bobby our steward couldnt have done more to help us(even reminding us that we had walked past our cabin :) ).The food in the windjammer was always hot and there was always plenty to chose from.I didnt ...
