Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We are long time Seabourn cruisers recently off a 16 day cruise on Quest. Last year on an 18 day trip on Ovation we noticed many changes, not for the good. This trip, it’s clear the product has sunk far below what it once was. 1. Dinner Service in the Restaurant/Colonnade. Three dinners where we casually appeared between 7:30 and 8:30. Result: At least a half hour between courses. Water ...

First let me say this is my 1st review ever. We have been on over 140 cruises and have over 150 days on Seabourn but they have seen us for the last time. Unfortunately Seabourn has implemented so many cost cutting features including a new set of Auxilliary Generators that come on whenever they leave port or come into port to Dock. They run for a solid hour at 3:00 am - 6:00 am or Midnight ...

This would have to be the most difficult review I have undertaken and I know many of you will find it hard to believe, that the following occurred on our first cruise with Oceania, on the fairytales and folklore Baltic cruise. As a past cruiser with Seabourn, Regent and Celebrity, I looked forward to experiencing Oceania on what was, a wonderful 19 day itinerary along the Baltic region. ...

Checked in at Dover this took us 3hrs processing did not start until 1 instead of 12 and then problems with checking in passports and debit card We then encountered bad weather so all time was spent inside ship we tried everything but choose was limited and could not be classed as quality entertainment, after stop at the Azores and improvement in weather we went on deck 12 to enjoy the ...

AZURA -designed for mass market

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Allocated a cabin midships under open deck - noise intrusion from footfalls - chairs and tables being moved and also wheeled cabinets meant we could not use our balcony or get relaxing sleep at all. Noise intrusion was for some 20 hours plus per day and despite formal complaints nothing was done to alleviate the problem which completely ruined our holiday. P&O have catered for the ...

MSC opera very poor

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Opera

We booked our cruise on MSC Opera for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had heard only good reports about cruising. This was my wife's first cruise although i had cruised before. We booked MSC opera as we wanted to visit the Baltics and as my wife is a vegetarian we thought Italian cuisine would suit us. The opera was extremely disappointing in many ways. for us it was far too regimented, if ...

I went with a group tour, so the travel agent chose NCL. None of the group were impressed. Embarkation went very smoothly and i must say professionally. However, upon entering the ship, you were on your own. I finally asked one of the employees, "Where do I go?" she stated if i was hungry go up to the 11th deck. That was it. I went to 11th deck. a very nice bbq was underway. The band was playing, ...

My wife and I and another couple arranged out Baltic Cruise through a tour package that took us to London for two nights and a transfer to the "Beautiful Norwegian Sun" in Dover. The four of us have 7 previous cruises together, and the other couple has half a dozen more. To say that the four of us were disappointed in the ship is an understatement. To start with, the rooms were small to the ...

First, the pluses.  The stewards and wait people were first rate throughout the ship.  They were helpful, solved problems, attended to requests with efficiency, warm, and personable.  They deserve a large applause, and certainly more than NCL pays them.  The cabin with balcony was fine, and met all our needs, especially quiet. In terms of extras, the Thermal Spa pass is well worth the price, ...

Beware of the NCL Line

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

Free to wait and wait in lines from the buffet to the main dining rooms. During these tight times extra pay restaurants are a hard sell. Especially when you do not get that much better food or service so..... expect long lines at the regular restaurants. 30-45 minute waits were common most evenings. Trying to plan dinner times so you could also get to the shows was futile we missed several or got ...
